is a road junction where two or more roads meet.

    The CrossRoads Name seemed to fit this aspect of my life. We live in the SW Corner of Iowa on an acreage where We raise & Show AKC Shelties, Reg. Polled Hereford Cattle & Gypsy Vanner Horses. 


~Welcome to Cross Roads~
Cross Roads was started originally under the LD Legacies name but with growth comes change. It started as Shelties and over time has transitioned into raising and showing of Reg. Polled Hereford Cattle and Reg. Gyspy Vanner horses.

We live on an acreage in SW Iowa. My husband is a farmer and full time supporter of me. We have 3 children who help in the socialization department. My son is 15 and in his Freshman year of high school and Football. He knows my routine and helps to keep things going when I am away at shows. My 8 year old daughter is a 3rd grader and enjoys leash trainig the puppies/dogs. We have hopes of Jr Handling when she is old enough. And lets not forget about our lil one, She just turned 2 a couple months ago. She enjoys the puppies and will hopefully become one of future Jr Handlers.


 Our primary goal is to breed with soundness of mind and body, whether its dogs, horses or cattle.
All of our Shelties must have a passing OFA, normal CERF, MDR1 and Normal Thyroid to be included in our breeding program.
